How can I connect multiple outdoor lights to one power line?

I've got one floodlight about twenty feet from my house. I want to install upward floodlights around the base of my home and have them hardwired into the same line the old light was using. I'm no electrician, so how would I go about connecting them all together? Piggy-backing, etc?
