My boyfriend wants to make-out?

Okay so im in 7th grade and so is my boyfriend and he wants to make out with me yesterday he tried to but i just kept my mouth closed because I havent ever made out with a boy, but then we hugged and I think he felt rejected, he did a pfft sigh sound over my shoulder and so I do and did want to but now I think hes to embarrased to try again so what do I do? And not make it akward for us we dont say honey,or baby to eachother and we dont want to be alone... Thanks so much!
