No response from wired ceiling fan, what are the possible problems and how can i fix it?

Check the dip set settings in the remote and on the receiver for the fan if they're out of sink it will not work, if I remember correctly they have 3 to 6 switches or settings 1 thru whatever they should match on the receiver and remote.
