I have been talking with a navy recruiter about joining. I just took my asvab and got a low score of 48. My recruiter keeps telling me to do this seamen apprenticeship/ undesignated seaman. I heard that you DONT want to do that and heard dont sign nothing until you find a job that is open you want. I would love to do something in aviation, specifically a aviation electrician but wouldnt mind any similar jobs. Australian Army Recruitment?

Hey mate, I have just been enlisted into Army Reserves, start NAVMED on sunday and Kapooka in 3 weeks, it was actually almost spot on 6 months from YOU session to enlistment, which means Kapooka if you get in full time, and that includes a large break i had in the middle (2 months) trying to figure out what i wanted. My job is Reserve Rifleman. so if your job is a priority job then yes i imagine you would get in fairly quick, however that is my experience, also. The army will screew you over from day one, be ready for that, you must call them up constantly and harass them, show them you are eager. Thanks mate.

TONSIL STONES. HELP????????????

I've been having tonsil stones for the past several years. About 3rd grade to now, which I am going into 10th grade after this summer. I get them quite frequently. There's a pretty big hole and lots of other little holes that won't heal up in my tonsils and I'm worried that the stones will like.. eat out my tonsils or something since they keep forming holes or in the big hole. Is this bad? Do you think it is possible for it to really eat up my tonsils (AND I'LL DIE.. jk) or am I alright with the stones continuing to reform in that same big hole again and again..?

Balboa vl200 52487 topside control?

How does a person program this controller? When it was first installed to the balboa vs501 and plugged in the pump ran continuously even at the set temperature of 104. I lowered the temperature to 102 then press another button. The system stopped pumping until the temperature dropped to 99 the kicked back on until it reached 102 The system worked fine until someone tried to increase the temperature to 104. I now have a flashing code alternating with a temperature. There are no manuals given with Balboa equipment and when I call Balboa techs they say they will only speak with licensed electricians or installers. I'm not sure if I understand this logic for setting a temperature control. Can you help?

Electric charge on pool?

We have an electric charge on the pool like Lonewolf asked about 4 years ago. 2 pool guys, 2 electricians, and an engineer, none could solve it. It's fiberglass. When all power is off to the house, there is still a charge. Not while in pool, but if you are touching the concrete and touch the pool you will get buzzzed, petty good if you touch the metal rail at the same time too. Much less if you touch wood at the same time. Not at all if you are on the plastic liner edge only when you touch the water. Seems to be increase when running the vacuum thingy and filter. Seems to dissipate when those aren't run but have to run them some or the pool turns green. Help!

Some where on the grinder is a plate stating the current and amperage it draws. If it is more than 20 amps you can not use on any household outlet without popping the breaker. Also most likely most of your plugs will be rated for 15 amps, again not gonna work. If you have to have this grinder for whatever job you are doing, you are gonna have to call an electrician and have him wire in a circuit with enough current capacity to handle it. This is the ONLY safe way. Do not by pass anything, it will bite you in the butt.

I have been playing WoW since 2007..I started as a rogue and been always playing like a rogue since then .... It was only WoW for me back then...did nothing else..just playing WoW(note that i was at the 2nd class of junior high school) ...so joined a guild started raiding ..after some time reached high end raiding with downing illidan and got till M'uru pre nerf patch in tbc...so then Lich king came out..so I had a "name" in my server cause of my guild(which disbanned after lich king came out ) so joined another high end raiding guild and kept raiding till the end of lich king...so in september 2010 decided to stop playing WoW (which was really difficult i can say...i mean...i think i was a little bit addicted now that i consider my self better) and focus more on my studies because i was about to start my last class at school and so i had to study more to go the University after ...soooo here I am now ...1 year later , finished school and im really confused if i should start playing again or not ....there are many facts that keep me back from this decision..for example : i find my self more social now...clubbing,hanging out with friends,have a nice relationship with my girl for about 6 months now ,working out at the gym and also ...im thinking that ..If i join WoW again ill have to start everything from the beginning..my rogue is level 80 so ill have to get 5 more levels..gear up for Cataclysm and start raiding...i think im a bit late for all that ...guilds have already done their progressions , filled their raid spots and now they only recruit really good geared people sooo ...im very late for all that.. it will get me ages to gear up again and be good geared for a good raiding guild... but inside me i feel the need to go back to WoW again.. i really liked playing...loved that game ...was a part of my routine and i reaallyyyy want to start again ......but ...pfft i dont know....whats your opinion guys??

Today I was doing volunteer work my mom's boyfriend take pictures for this rebuilding homes project in the area. Installing a light fixture - Where does the red wire connect to?

I am trying to install a light fixture. It turns on by a light switch on the wall. It is not a dimmer switch, just an average light switch. There never was a fixture there to begin with. The electrician installed the wall switch for me but did not install the the fixture. He said I could do it myself with no problem. From the ceiling, there are four wires (black, white, red and a copper wire) My light fixture has three wires ( black, white and green). I know that the green and the copper are ground, so they go together. I know black to black and white to white. But there is this extra red wire. Does it piggy back with the black wires? How can I get REVENGE on my 'friends'? Here's what happened: Friend A had been plotting doing the great friend switch over for the entire year. Light post not working?

My outside light post is not working. We've changed the light bulbs and tested the light sensor. There has not been any digging that may have cut underground wires. The light post is powered directly from the house but it does not have it's own circuit breaker. When we put a new fixture on the post last year, we had to shut off all the power in the house to change the fixture. My house/development is 9 years old if that helps to know. Cam belt fix but an electrical problem?

The timing belt went on my girl friend's 10 year old x reg clio. RAC dropped the car off at a local back street garage. They quoted �550 to put a new belt on. After they installed the belt the car wouldn't start, There appeared to been an electrical fault. The garage arranged to moved the car to another garage where an electrician could find the fault.This garage did find the problem after a 18 hours of labour. The electrical garage said the problem would have been simpler to resolve if the car's electric wasn't in bits. I'm presuming here that the mechanical garage tried to figure out the electrical fault first before passing it onto the electrical garage perhaps trying to do a good deed. The invoice from the electrics comes to �395 which the mechanical garage says he has paid.Making the girlfriends total bill �995 for a car with a px value of �400. My question is what the likely chances that the mechanical garage caused the electrical fault. It was serviced last 6 months ago and there was no work done on the electrics then.

F I do what I can, I have to re-cycle, no choice now. I cloth diaper, wash on cold, keep the heating down in the winter/wear more inside, I don't drive unless I absolutely have to, buy local produce, use my own bags and only buy what we need. I think I always try to minimize my footprint but sometimes that is more for finicial benefit as well. I don't like paying for things I'm not using (gas and electricity). I do think more needs to be done with people/corperations and worldwide.

I don't want to "poison" my cats but they have fleas. Do any "organic" or non-poison treatments work?

I go through this every year when the weather warms up and all the flea eggs start hatching. I have used Frontline and Advantage but keep hearing how bad it is, causing cancer, damaging livers and quite frankly the cats seem sick for a few days after I put this stuff on them but it does indeed kill the fleas. I tried one brand of "organic" flea treatment last year (can't remember the name) and it actually seemed to make the problem worse. The fleas liked it. One brand has been recommended here - Target Feline Spray - but there are only two reviews for it on line and neither mention if the stuff kills fleas, they just talk about how the cats liked it. Pfft! Has anyone out there used this stuff who can give an unbiased review? Any alternatives? And yes, I know about using a flea comb and flea baths - try giving MY cats a bath!

My husband, like many others, was given the 10 yr bar back to Mexico in 2006.?

He has been there for 5 years. We have been married for 7 years. He was here illegally but wanted to do the right thing. He paid a fine and we filed the I-130 Petition ... all done through an attorney. He had an ITIN#, filed his income taxes, gave to the community, we're married and all my family lives here. Some are in bad health and can't travel to see him. He does not have any problems... no criminal records, etc. in either country. Since he was returned, I had surgery, lost my job, had a break in and assault, and lost our home to a short sale and had to sell whatever to survive. The US Embassy does not see my life as a hardship and won't give us permission to file the waivers. How will the "Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act 2011" effect those who have been given the 3 or 10 year bars. Shouldn't they be given the opportunity to return before we give amnesty to those who are here illegally and who had no intention to ever step forward and apply for residency in the U.S.? I feel President Obama should consider all of these folks before moving forward. It only seems fair to do it this way. I would love to be able to pack up and just live in Mexico but considering that I'm over 50 and have been through 5 years of losing everything, I feel I must stay here and do my best to build some type of retirement for us when he gets to return in 2016. It's tough when your lives are passing fast and we can be together to enjoy our younger years. I am not financially equipped to travel to Mexico often as it is. You would be better off to buy the good stuff from a Carrier Dealer rather than Sears. The salesman should have told you that the Infinity control requires a new Infintiy furnace and will likely not work well (and certainly not get the desired efficiency) with your older furnace. When properly matched, the thermostat serves as the microprocessor unit that polls the connected loads and configures itself just as a plug and play component does on newer computer systems. I would be really hesitant to buy a system like this from Sears but you will love it if you get it installed by someone who knows what he/she is doing.

He is probably the least sh***y option. He is intelligent and I believe he genuinely cares about people from all walks of life. However he has not really been able to deliver on some of his promises, an age-old story in politics. hi all you moms and preggies, I just thought i would share my feelings, as i had an appointment at the clinic today. I am 25 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child, wasnt overweight before i got pregnant,but today the doctor said i piled on too much since my last mnths appointment. I have gained so far 6kilos,i used be about 54-55kilos pre-pregnant but not am 61kilos. Is this bad at 25 weeks? thing is i feel so down now, because i truelly feel hungry but he told me to curb my eating,his words were,,,save on the food. pfft. does anyone feel this way? i mean, why is it a big deal that we have to stick to a certain weight? i eat sensibly, i live in Japan so i eat salads everyday, fish most times,,,hardly eat meat, and i walk my dog everyday for about 30-40 minutes, so i dont know how i possibly could be getting so HEAVY. i feel so down, am afraid to attend my next appointment, incase my weight has gone up again. I know it's hard work, and most people will probably think 'pfft dream on' but can you go to any collages or anything to train you and educate you to be able to train horses up to very high competition standards, i'd love to be an eventer and then go on to give lessons. Can anyone tell me what could be wrong with my daughter's 1996 Ford Telstar TX5?

We had it serviced and took it to an auto electrician and they told me it was the ignition leads. However, after having the ingition leads replaced the car still breaks down every so often. I can drive the car and then it just dies without warning, I pull over and try to start it again a few minutes later and it starts and drives good again. Some say it's the distributor and others say it's possibly the fuel filter. If anyone can give me an idea as to what could be wrong it would be very much appreciated.

Two totally different occupations/careers. You have to decide which one you favour the most -i.e. what do you have an interest in. There is however a fault on your lighting circuit which would need investigating and I would guess a short circuit due to the immediate tripping. Just to give you an idea of the cost I charge �45 per hour fault finding which usually won't take more than an hour. There is also the cost of any materials involved plus VAT so about �80ish but I'm not the cheapest. Clearly more complicated problems will take longer and the meter will be ticking. Insist on a certificate which electricians are legally obliged to produce and sign for every job.

Ok, it was suggested, to get another user account, if I want to keeps others from messin' wiith the media player of my computer, but I want to still play my music, I like to play my cds while my friends and family surf the internet. And sometimes they will click something that messes up the way I have set up my media player. I want to remove the media player window from their view. I play my cds manaully, by incerting them into the computer, while my friends use the computer. I want to hide the icon on the task bar that says windows media player, as well. A question about Careless driving in PA and looking for work?

I'm searching for a job that usually entails driving a company vehicle, like a plumbing truck or electricians truck. How will the "Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act 2011" effect those who have been given the 3 or 10 year bars. Shouldn't they be given the opportunity to return before we give amnesty to those who are here illegally and who had no intention to ever step forward and apply for residency in the U.S.? I feel President Obama should consider all of these folks before moving forward. It only seems fair to do it this way. I would love to be able to pack up and just live in Mexico but considering that I'm over 50 and have been through 5 years of losing everything, I feel I must stay here and do my best to build some type of retirement for us when he gets to return in 2016. It's tough when your lives are passing fast and we can be together to enjoy our younger years. I am not financially equipped to travel to Mexico often as it is. Run, don't walk to the local IBEW and ask about the apprentice program. It is a 4-5 year program to attain a journey level status. During this time you will work and also get schooling through the local apprenticeship program. You will get paid while working and gain on job training to go with your schooling. There are different branches of the electrical trade from residential, to industrial, to lineman, communication and broadcast and television and cable. The entry requirements are different in each area. Ask, the worst that can happen is you are told that there are no openings now. Apply and qualify for the program, take additional schooling if you need it.

Sometimes bulbs are bad right out of the package. Try a different bulb. If the bulb itself burned out it probably wasn't the warmer, it was probably a bad bulb. Those usually take a 15 or 25 watt bulb.
